Michaela's Spring Band Concert
Cub Scout Camping and Bridging Ceremony Weekend
Our tent is all set up on Friday evening and the boys are ready for the campfire. Ready for a fun weekend!
Zane is ready to launch his rocket. It was really cool!!
Olivia caught her first fish! (Sorry I forgot to rotate the pic)
And another fish for Olivia!
Michaela did a little reading during the camping trip. Don't let this picture fool you---she did her share of fishing and even more of assisting smaller children with removing fish from their hooks. We gave her a hard time for talking to the fish as she unhooked them--you know, things like-- "It's okay little fish...I'm going to put you back in the water...just be really still while I take this hook out of your mouth."
The Bridging ceremony was on Saturday night. At this ceremony, the boys were promoted from their old cub scout rank to their new rank for the next year. The boys came over the bridge as their names were called, and, on the other side, the parents changed their hats and neckerchiefs. It was a very special ceremony for the boys (and the parents). Here you can see Zane shaking the cubmaster's hand as he crosses the bridge.
